The Deluxe Studio had a large traditional Japanese room with a private onsen, which felt truly special. Soaking in the outdoor onsen while surrounded by nature was a highlight. Dinner and breakfast were stunning. the Kaiseki dinner topped off with delicious dishes was unforgettable. The warm welcome with homemade matcha mochi set a lovely tone. One downside was the hard pillows that made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. The location, while serene, required some travel to get to Kyoto's main attractions, which could be a hassle. Still, the ambiance and meals made it a memorable stay.

The outdoor onsen was a highlight of our stay.
Finding the hotel was quite challenging. we had to ask several locals for directions, which was frustrating and time-consuming. It felt as though the public onsen was too small for the number of guests, leading to long waits and disappointment. Additionally, the lack of entertainment options made the experience feel limited, making it hard to enjoy an extended stay.

I knew this place was special. They greeted us with homemade matcha mochi, which was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before, and the warm atmosphere. The outdoor onsen was an absolute highlight too, we had it all to ourselves, soaking in the tranquility while overlooking a fine garden.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the experience, it felt justifiable.

One simple answer, yes or no?
The outdoor onsen was incredibly peaceful, the Kaiseki dinner was a visual and culinary delight. Each bite was beautifully presented and flavorful.
Limited accessibility to public transport could be challenging especially for those traveling with luggage. Additional walking from the bus stop to the ryokan can be cumbersome.
